I lost 4500 work units in the cross over to Bonic. Nah! This page uses the user_info.sah file from your Classic SETI folder to extract your Classic password. With that information, your BOINC account key and your current email address, you can go to this page and link the Classic to the BOINC. Use the third section on this form. MJ |

Not nessecarily. It is possible to attach if you have any of the following: 1) Access to your Classic email address. 2) Access to your Classic Password. 3) Access to your Classic installation. Visit this link. If you can still change the classic email address, you may also try keeping the emails addresses synchronized. The stats should link once the final snapshot is taken. If you have none of the above, then no, you will not be able to get your classic credits to appear in your account page. Note that they do NOT translate into BOINC credits. Further note that they were last updated March 15th 2005, and will be updated one final time after classic is shut down. BOINC WIKI |

Thankyou so much for the link I believed that I would just have to live with the fact that I couldnt link to my old credits.I'm glad someone figured out how to verify account ownership from the user_info.sah file. many thanks to whoever setup the page. |

Oh, thanks very much! I too had become a lost soul, but this info made me see the light. This should be added on the registration page. |

But, what of our new member, Mark? Did the help, help him? He hasn't been back, or at the very least, left a post stating that it worked for him. And, why is this thread stickied....? >;-/ \\-;< CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Makes sense.... >:-) (-:< ADDENDUM: Maybe the thread title should be changed to reflect that information. Mark hasn't been back, at least hasn't posted. I don't know that "Moderators" have the ability to change thread titles. >:-) (-:< CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Thought we'd lost you there for a while. You need to post in the Milestone thread, the greatest milestone I have seen here yet. Your very first thread, with your very first post was stickied, meaning it stays at the top. That is so cool! Hey, I hope the advice given here will help you out. Good luck dude.... >:-) (-:< CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. Oh I got the same message at that page. You must enter your 'old' e-mail address at the top and the new address at the bottom part. |

OK I tried to link my OLD (Classic)Seti@home to my new Bonic Account. You have to enter two emails one for classic in top box and one for Boinc/Seti in one of the lower boxes, without looking again I don't know, so that they can link the two together. |

OK I tried to link my OLD (Classic)Seti@home to my new Bonic Account. did you put your classic email adress on the top line, the skip the middle section, then fill out the bottom section? A forum moderator, made your post sticky because he/she thought it would be a common question |

OK I tried to link my OLD (Classic)Seti@home to my new Bonic Account. I'm assuming you're going from this form, you should only have to fill out the bottom part. If you don't have the password for the Classic SETI, you can get it using your user_info.sah file from this page. PS I have know idea how I made this thread sticky.. One of the moderators did it, since it addresses a very frequent question! 8-) Hugs Mark Hugs back at'cha, MJ |
