Personal background
I am born in 1952 in Belgium in a town where the first population of it goes back to the time of Stone Age. It was a city with some 65.000 people around the 13th to the 15th century.

I am passionate by astronomy since my 15 years.

I studied 2 years of physics and 4 years of engineer in electronics.

My work is one of educating surgeons, technicians and nurses all over Europe, Africa, the Middle East and America. This education consists in how the surgeons have to do their surgery and how the nurses and technicians have to use the equipments that are based on sophisticated hard and software.

I have also an educating responsibility for colleagues in that part of the world.

Another part of the job is related to research and development as well as Clinical Studies. For this part of work, I’m traveling over the whole world.

I have been working with a PC from the time everything was done under DOS.

I am using a home made PC, rebuild for the fifth time.
It uses an Asus P4P800 motherboard with a PentiumIV HT 2.4GHz.
It was overclocked by Bios at 2.88GHz, and used a DDR-SDRAM PC3200 of 512MB set at 2.5-3-3-8.
On the 28th of December 2005 I overclocked it manually at 2.928GHz, set the Vcore at 1.65V, and put a 2 x DDR-SDRAM PC3200 - 512 MB, set at 2.5-3-3-7.

Crunching 24/7, with a room temperature of 20C or 68F, at 41C or 105F cooled with an excellent Zalman ;)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life probably exists. I can not believe we are the only thinking and living creatures in this immense universe, created by a mysterious Force.

I have been participating at S@H Classic since the 18th of August 2002. Since end of July 2003 I run it on a daily base nearly 24/24 hours. I am running the Boinc version of S@H since the 12th of June 2004.

I quit running S@H Classic the 24th of June 2004, having processed some 1402 WU's and went definitely over to the new program using Boinc.
With the shortcoming WU's at Boinc at a certain period of time, I installed S@H Classic again. I have been switching from one to the other depending on the availability of WU's.
To know what people were experiencing the days before Classic was closed, I jumped back to Seti Classic for a period of some 15 days. On the 15th of December I closed S@H Classic and went over again to Boinc/Seti.

I participated in the Boinc Beta test from beginning of May 2004.

I think looking to the universe with its profound secrets is a way to discover new frontiers. This is the reason why I wanted to continue participating in this new project that is S@H/Boinc.
