I work for the County Government and I'm a resident of Northern California. I'm happily married to a wonderful and beautiful lady from Santa Rosa who thinks I'm nuts for running SETI@Home. My hobbies are mountain biking, astronomy (of course) and formula one racing (along with the regular moonlight session of Counter Strike and/or HL2). If you ask anyone who knows me, they'll tell you I'm a complete geek which I am extremely proud of, unfortunately they will also tell you that I have a massive repository of "useless" knowledge (great at trivial pursuit).
With regards to the SETI project, many people will laugh and say, 'why?', 'can you prove to me that something exists out there?'. My response is always 'can you prove that something doesn't?'.
