50% want Trump to be impeached and removed from office. Another 4% want Trump to be impeached at least.

I'm skeptical of internet polls... there are no controls ie to ensure a random sampling and avoid "poll crashing" where other sites send enough people to to the poll to deliberately skew it the opposite way it would go otherwise.

Was this an internet poll or a random sample poll where they contact the participants?

I agree, polls are not as reliable as they want you to believe. It largely depends on the data set and how it's interpreted. Percentages can be manipulated by altering the data set baselines. While the quoted poll shows 50% support for impeachment here's a different take on the same question from a regional data set. This article details the quandary a portion of Dim House members find themselves in..
.... the 31 Democrats like Pappas who represent districts Trump carried in 2016 find themselves in a political bind. Their party’s base is demanding it — 74% of Democratic primary voters strongly support impeachment — while the GOP is reminding them that polls show independent voters oppose Democrats’ efforts to remove President Trump from office by a 13-point margin.

According to The Washington Post, a poll of eight key battleground states (Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin) found only 44% of voters support impeachment while 51% are opposed.

In fact, the same day Democrats announced their two articles of impeachment, a new Quinnipiac poll was released showing that support for impeachment was underwater (51% oppose, 45% support) while support for Trump’s handling of the economy “is the highest since the question was first asked in February of 2017, with 54% approving.”

https://www.nwitimes.com/opinion/columnists/guest-commentary/guest-commentary-swing-district-dems-really-don-t-want-to/article_f1abf122-bfcd-5df5-b78a-6fe73d0c745e.html
These same incumbent Democrat Representatives are further left out on a limb(pun unintended but I'll take it), by the landslide victory of Boris Johnson against his Socialist opponents. With the Democrat Party's swing to the far left, the same result is very possible in the US in 2020.

Also there has never been an incumbent President defeated when approval of the economy was high.

... Note: Mr. Narcissist, if you do the Nixon you get secret service protection for life and you get to build your Library. ...

He'll build his library the way he's building his wall, he'll try to get someone else to pay for it. With the exception of his selfies and tweets the contents of his library could fit in a shoe box.

It amazes me how many people believe Clinton's lying about oral sex was a greater crime against the country than Trump's asking a foreign power to interfere with US elections.

I'd thought Gerald Ford was the only one and lost for his pardoning of Nixon, but remembered incorrectly; instead he presided over a recession and made it worse instead of better. So, the rule does hold.

538 rate Fox News polls as A-, the polls are live telephone calls only.

Trump's asking a foreign power to interfere with US elections.
So the current Head of State, with a treaty and memorandum of co-operation in the investigation of corruption executed by a former Head of State, one William Jefferson Clinton, cannot request that co-operation be employed if the subject happens to be running against him?

Even if that subject is actually guilty of exercising undue influence over a foreign investigation and actually BRAGGED about it in a video recording?

Just checking.

Interviews were conducted December 8-11, 2019 among a random national sample of 1,000 registered voters (RV). Landline (221) and cellphone (779) telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state. Results based on the full sample have a margin of sampling error of ± 3 percentage points

It amazes me how many people believe Clinton's lying about oral sex was a greater crime against the country than Trump's asking a foreign power to interfere with US elections.

Clinton didn't even lie under oath. Paula's lawyer excluded oral sex from the question.

Of course you have to wonder if the people who think Clinton lied are in the same group as those who think asking a foreign power to interfere is acceptable.

Russia’s State TV Calls Trump Their ‘Agent’
Russian commentators note, rightly, that “sooner or later, the Democrats will come back into power," and they’re already joking about offering Trump asylum.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/russias-state-tv-calls-trump-their-agent
Sometimes a picture doesn’t have to be worth a thousand words. Just a few will do. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov returned home from his visit with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week, Russian state media was gloating over the spectacle. TV channel Rossiya 1 aired a segment entitled “Puppet Master and ‘Agent’—How to Understand Lavrov’s Meeting With Trump.”
Vesti Nedeli, a Sunday news show on the same network, pointed out that it was Trump, personally, who asked Lavrov to pose standing near as Trump sat at his desk. It’s almost the literal image of a power behind the throne.

Do we care how Faux News characterizes a photo of a meeting............in a word, no.

Because we know what the real meaning of the word Pravda is about.

Oh. Still Trump and his entourage "hang out" with the Russians that clearly mock them on Russian state TV endorsed by Putin. They have being doing that for years now.
I suggest you bring in some more Russians like Maria Butina.

Oh. Breaking. Maria Butina, convicted in U.S. of being Russian agent, gets job as state TV host

NEW YORK (AP) — A business associate of Rudy Giuliani received a $1 million payment in September from an indicted Ukrainian oligarch who is a fugitive from justice in the U.S., federal prosecutors revealed Tuesday.

The disclosure came during a court hearing in New York for Lev Parnas, who is awaiting trial on charges that he made illegal campaign contributions to U.S. politicians, including some made to try to influence policy on Ukraine.

Today's open house impeachment hearing is setting a new record. The Republicans bald faced lies and fabrications so out number their half truths it should go into the Guinness Book of Records. In all fairness maybe 10% of their words have some truth.
