I agree with Chris S, no hair coloring here either, I just don't need it, My hair is thick, dark blond(strawberry) and not receding, though I do wish it wasn't quite so dang thick.

Grade one slap-head here - not enough to do anything with apart from keep the little that remains in some sort of order with the hedge (aka beard) trimmer - and to think that at one time I had long dark hair, so long that I could sit on it!

Never used hair coloring either.

Grecian Formula has been suggested, but I remember what happened to a Shipmate of mine. He had much more grey hair than I, until he went on leave for 2 weeks. Used Grecian Formula on leave, when he came back, nobody recognized him with his original dark brown hair. One of the men he supervised was Topside Security when he came back from leave, did not recognize his boss, and drew down on him for not stopping to show ID as he crossed the brow. Quickly resolved, not soon forgotten. (We got a LOT of mileage out of that incident...)

My original color is medium brown, now I'm somewhere between grey-blonde and white. I'll wear it proudly. After 20 years in the Navy, most of it on submarines, I figure I earned every one of those grey hairs.

I just had a REAL treat. We just had a Falcon in our backyard!!! :-) It flew over our pool, then landed on our fence. It sat on the fence for five minutes, then flew into our redwood trees. After another five minutes, it flew to the other side of the yard where the pool filtration system is... Such an AWESOME bird!!! I didn't have my phone or camera; so, no pics... Sorry.

Well, it was either a Falcon, or a small hawk. Definitely a bird of prey. :) Pretty sure it was a Falcon. :)

We had a pair of red shouldered hawks around and about here in the spring. I thought they might raise young, but I never saw any fledglings. After a couple of months the hawks moved on.

There was probably not enough rodents for them to hunt..

There should have been! I feed the birds like crazy, and I'm quite sure that in doing so I inadvertently feed the er... uh... friends of Mickey. There are several acres of open land behind us that should have been full of rodents. I'm guessing they were having trouble finding a tree that was exactly to their liking.

Well you've got feral cats there and cats are very effective rodent hunters, hawks can't compete..

One unwanted(to most) visitor that bird feeders attract indirectly are snakes. Obviously for the 'friends of Mickey' not the seeds.
