i tend not to have favorite bands anymore - as a young adult i was proud to be a fan of yes, genesis (before phil colins took over) emerson, lake and palmer, jethro tull, santana and king crimson.

these days i listen to more variety and i guess that happens as one gets older - we develop more appreciation for genres that we dismissed in our youth. for example jazz. i used to hate jazz cause i couldn't understand it. now that's the reason i like it. i think i may even give opera a try. (gulp)

i like some of the music by grunch bands like nirvana, smashing pumpkins and pearl jam. like some of red hot chili peppers. old u2. (as u probably guessed by now, i'm not 'up' on more modern stuff.

i'm also very fond of the kronos quartet - i have several cds - one composed by philip glass which i play all the time. another favorite cd is the sound track to a movie, 'the good thief'. good european movie with nick nolte and a great sound track. a great french version of an oldie, 'black is black'.

okay i've rambled on far to long.

psssssst - Misfit, the intent was (1) not to start a NEW thread as per 'rules'
and (2) there was a certain individual that makes comments without knowing what their talking 'bout - and so hence the particular person referred to - being Steven Seagal has a new album that i thought would be appropriate for said 'other' individual's commentary / 'wisecrack' etc . . .

Greatest Album Ever: Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield

This is subject to opinion, however the correct opinion is to agree.

It's great music, a real classic! o00oo00oo00oo! It still gives me the chills when I haven't heard it for a while. It was perfect for that movie "The Exorcist", don't you think?
