A 107-year-old man was killed in a shootout with police, after he held two people at gunpoint in the US state of Arkansas, authorities said. Officers were called to a home in the city of Pine Bluff following reports that the man, named as Monroe Isadore, was threatening the two with a gun. The pair were brought to safety before police tried to arrest the suspect, who was locked inside a bedroom. Ok he's 107. how about getting really quiet for 30 minutes and let him just fall asleep. I mean COME ONNNNNN. how long did they think he'd stay away if he was left alone. Heck my mother is 76 and falls asleep if you just stop talking to her. How hard would it have been to wait him out. He was the only one not wheelchair bound. His walking pace was about 6 inches a step, much like watching a toy rocking back and forth as it moved forward. I'll say it again. a 107 year old certainly wouldn't warrant a long standoff, just a nice quiet 30 minute period for him to take a knap In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face.
