I see that Dremel are advertising their cutting tools to carve a pumpkin for Halloween. Something to talk about? [a little late] What a cool idea! I wonder what I can do with my Dremel and bits. #resist |

Barf! I'm with Chris on this, although I won't logoff, I just don't like the idea of eating brains or liver... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I think that Gary's (I will assume "calf brains"???) picture makes an interesting point about the arbitrary nature of what we deem edible. In some cultures roasted and salted insects are a crunchy tasty street snack. Mmmmmmm... exoskeleton!!! I've eaten roasted goat abroad, but in the USA it is infrequently consumed. It is part of my Italian heritage to eat rabbit, but I have to go to a specialty meat market to find it in my little corner of the world. I understand in some cultures bats are eaten, but I've never seen bat meat on a menu here. In some cultures, animal flesh is not eaten at all. People are omnivores, but omnivores with heavy cultural biases. I suspect Gary was trying to make that point. Either that, or he was just getting into the Halloween spirit! |

Yes yuk to some, but I am a WW child and food was scarse. My grand parents were a cook and a butcher. Yes brain was on the menu, just not Monkies. I have eating strange things, but I would not like to play on Survivor. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

I know what you mean Angela. My Dutch in-laws loved smoked horse meat. Try asking for that in a big chain grocery store. |
