I have always thought this and I think the probowl should be played after the super bowl. you have key players and they get hurt? this can make a difference of winning and losing the super bowl. :(

The players going to the Superbowl do not play in the Probowl, they are replaced by alternates.

I didn't know that but it's nice to know. It wouldn't be right to get all beat up a week before the big game which you worked so hard for.

Until a couple years ago, the Pro Bowl was the week AFTER the Super Bowl. Damn stupid move to change it, I think, because of all the players from the Super Bowl teams who have to skip the Pro Bowl.....

Yes, it does. The fans' and sponsors' money talked so loud they are moving it back to after the Super Bowl once the current contract ends. Folks not willing to pay the price for tickets if the players for the Super Bowl teams were not there.

The SF 49ers are one of my favorite teams as well as the Baltimore Ravens. I'm glad the game ended up close but in the end the better team won and a few Ravens who played their last NFL game today went out on top. San Francisco will be back for sure.

It was a heck of a game. The Nin-ers almost brought it back. Good fight.

[rant]
We get called for offsides, yet the Ravens get away with it on the 2 point try.
#29 Ravens shoves an official and gets away with it.
Several undeserved first downs (minus the 1 challenge) given to the Ravens.
A penalty (holding or illegal contact) not called on the 49ers last play.
[/rant]

I also wish CK would've stuck to the run on those last 3 plays. I'm confident they would've punched it in.

F! As in it!

I think for a player who has only started 11 games in the NFL Colin Kaepernik has nothing to be ashamed of with his SuperBowl performance. Sure he made a few mistakes but overall he was great.

And yesterday was one great game, sure the 49ers didn't win, but I was practically glued to My chair....

The Blackout Bowl is what the TV News called it, sounds appropriate.
