Bugs(left), Daffy(right)...

Daffy: "It's Wabbit season!"
Bugs: "Duck season!"
Daffy: "Wabbit season!"
Bugs: "Duck season!"
Daffy: "Wabbit season!"
Bugs: "Duck season!!"
Daffy: "Wabbit season!!"
Bugs: (Reverses the flow) "Wabbit season!"
Daffy: "Duck season!!!"
Bugs: "Wabbit season!!!"
Daffy: "I say it's Duck season, and I say, FIRE!" •BOOM!• (Daffy gets it.)
Daffy: "Let's try that again."

Hi Friends!

We just got back from our trip. Eric ran right into work and from the sound of it, his day is going to be pretty awful.

I am home doing laundry and listening to the ravens in our backyard squawk at one another. Some time ago Eric named three of the ravens who frequent our backyard "Edgar", "Allan" and "Poe". I can't really tell them apart, but whenever one of them does something naughty like steal Spawnie's food or poop in his water dish, I tend to blame Poe.

Eric sent me this cartoon, which I thought was funny enough to share.

Before Chris forgets which thread this is, as I just walked through a hot sunny Central Park here in NY, thought I would post a couple of critters I encountered

Turtle in the boating lake;

And a squirrel

When I was growing up, the local ravens played a game with our dog. The would cruise just out of reach, fly into a handy tree, and another would take over. The ravens would take turns until the dog collapsed.

Seeing Angela's picture reminds me of my brother's old dog, Snowy.

When he lived near London she was a "back door" dog, never moving very far from the door, and greeting everyone with a growl. They moved down to Somerset, to a tiny hamlet, and Snowy changed. She decided she would recruit friends for her humans. Trotting off round the hamlet she would come home, with a new human in tow, then stand at the back door, bark softly a couple of times as if to say "Look who wants to see you now", and prevent the new human from leaving until they had met my brother and or his wife.
