Cheese Cutter caps are quire different in the UK.

cheese cutters

Were they not also known as a 'working man's cap' as an affront to the big boss men? Or am I mistaken?

I still dearly remember one of my uncle's friends that always wore a leather cap like that.

A true tavvy boy. Could have passed for Andy Capp's character. Always there with a joke and a pat on the back. Or a pint, if you were so inclined.

Andy Capp was a designated working man, with the flat hat to distinguish him from the bosses. When the creator died the cap was forever known as the Andy Capp ...
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

I always called them "Driver's caps". Used to have a couple of the Donegal tweed pattern. Haven't seen them for ages, must be in a box in the attic.

YouTube claims that 116 people didn't "like" that?!!!! I am saddened to hear that there are 116 people in the world who cannot be charmed by a puppy. What a shame!

I got thousands that do not agree with every kitty comment I make in this world.

This is one of the few forums I have ever participated in that acknowledges kitties.
And perhaps, on my behalf.

You travel on.......

Most of them are just trolls, trying to get you wound up. Ignore them. Or more precisely, give them all the attention they deserve...

And maybe a few of them have a dog phobia of some kind.

I'm almost loaded and ready now
With delicious food, if you're a cow
I'm off to Kansas, yes it's true
To a place where God lost His overshoes

Happy Poet's Day!
