Good morning Bernie, Chris and Mike, from the late shift. Woke to a glorious sunny windless Spring day again. The run was only interuppted by yesterday's dull episode (most of the day). A good start for All Fools Day. Looks like snow forecast for up country on Wednesday. I wonder ...? Almost likely to come to nothing as past experience shows. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Winning I guess. Headed to breakfast-then to Joe's service. Then tonight I'm going to watch Wrestlemania on my buddy's 92" TV...yes I said 92"..he built his own screening room in his home. He lives a 1/4 mile from anyone else so he can watch as loud as he wants |

What I was thinking was if they can use their minds to create objects then women could do the same thing. If Batman could have a Batwoman, then the Green Lantern could be a female easy. Donald, my friend, I just HAVE TO respond. At the risk of getting this moved to Politics, I am simply dying to know if your experience with military insurance (AKA "government run healthcare") has not been a good one? I am a 23 year hospital employee and the children I serve whose families have military insurance seem to have excellent medical coverage!!! If I recommend speech therapy for a child, it gets funded pretty much every time. I have NOT had that experience with the vast majorities of private PPO's and HMO's I encounter. As an added bonus, there is significantly less worthless paperwork required, at least in my field, for children who are covered by military insurance. On the opposite end of the age spectrum, I have had several friends who have spent some time working as speech pathologists for the Martinez VA out here. Their experience with military healthcare has been similar to mine. They have no problem getting whatever they need for the vets they serve who have had strokes or head injuries or who develop progressive neurological diseases. Forgive my curiosity, but I would love to hear about your personal experience with healthcare across your lifespan, as a career military professional. I am sorry if your personal experience has been less than positive and supportive. |

Like in Yer thread Angela, to Me this thread is an off topic thread, it always has been, as I see nothing in the rules that would exile the thread, yet I understand the nervousness, as some don't read the rules and are quick to be judge, jury and executioner... I can see that there is no one who wanted to play April Fools’ Day to day. Still, I hope this is the winning post. |
