If it's non-toxic dye I don't see the harm. I love animals.

Wishing Izzy a full recovery

Thanks...as this is a progressive disease (Mitral Valve Disease), she will never recover from it. The treatment is intended to delay the eventual onset of it as long as we can and give her heart some relief to ease the pressure on the valve.

She has kidney tests scheduled tonight to see how they are handling the meds

Sounds like a valve needs replacement, ones used in pigs I think are used in humans, If it could be done, probably not cheap either, unless You can get a Veterinary Hospital that trains students to do the work. Otherwise I don't know what to say Blurf, click Here for more info, as there is some hope thru stem cells.

They don't normally do valve replacements in dogs and it's HUGE $ to do so, Vic. Cost of the procedure is from $12,000 to $14,000. Stem Cell treatment requires big bucks which I also don't have.

The kidney panel looks good from Monday. Vet wants us back in 2 weeks, then space out the tests to keep on top of it.

Just talked to my wife over dinner break. Her therapist has a Cavvie named Lucy who is 14 years old with a Grade 3/4 murmur like Izzy. She went on the same meds @ age 9 and has been fine. I feel really good about things now.

When on school holidays and wanting to get my boat down to the sea, with visitors all over the beach on towels, etc, sunbathing. I would politely ask them to move to allow me to get the boat to the sea.

Usually the result was not so polite requests to use another route to the water and they would not move.

At this point, I would put on my oilskins and southwester, then fed the gulls with mackerel.

The rain of gull p** didn't half clear the beach quickly.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Just thought I'd share this picture with Angela & the gang.

It was taken yesterday (allegedly) during a lightning storm over San Fran - must have been an awesome storm! The Bay Bridge is being lit by no less than 8 (actually, do I count 9?) bolts of lightning at the same time. BANG!!!!
