Happy day after poets day!!!

But I must say, they had a very impressively verbose evening.

Weather still very sunny (got better after a longish walk with the dogs) and the temperature rose (~11C).

Looks like we are all winning, despite the drought.

Winning in a fog. But I already had my coffee so it must be real.

Here it's just bright, but at least it's not a fright.

Poet's day was quite a grind:
In the end on all, Angela dined.
Wow what a contest!

Angela's rumble with different players was magnificant. But, I wonder whether she got so involved in rhyming that she missed the birthday party and Eric attended only?

Nope! I did it all. We left for the party around 5:15pm and we were home around 10pm. The guest of honor is expecting a baby (Yay!!!!! I'm going to be an auntie again!!!) and it was a family party with attendees ranging in age from about 16 months up to 86 years, so it was not a drink-'til-the-wee-hours-of-the-morning kind of party. With the west coast time advantage, I had two hours left of Poet's Day when we returned home. I tried to make good use of them.

Yes, very entertaining in deed, with many-many witty lines penned.
I gather we have here an in-house Laureate, now who-could-that-be??

Posted comments in this thread lead me to believe that someone may
be being regarded, in stature I might add, as being the King or might we
say the Queen of this poetry Ring????
