The Master Baths linen closet is now packed, So now the house is about half packed. I told the Park Yesterday that I had an offer elsewhere and for $325 a month, Of course I didn't say exactly where, Just that I might be moving out of the park, As I'd like to see 12A at $325 a month, But I doubt they want anything less than maybe $450 as they were raising the rents here I think, But then I'm not the only person who's packing to move, The other Victor that lives in the park is also doing that.

Well I got 8 more boxes today, 2 apple and 6 banana, Of course getting a hold of the purple inserts is a problem, So far of the 4 apple boxes that I have, I have exactly 4 inserts, they make good boxes for transporting plates, saucers & bowls cause the inserts allow the plates or what not be stacked and the inserts act as a cushion, I almost wish I'd kept a box or two full of inserts from 2004, Oh well. I may have to buy some newspapers soon for the glasses and cups of course, Moving, Oh Joy, Joy works at the local Stater Brothers Market last I looked. I have to leave a couple of boxes for the PC parts and cables here of course.

Oh and I'm almost done with the front room too, Next the Kitchen and then I've only got minor stuff in the bathrooms that I have to leave until last. Yes I have some paper plates here for the last day or two.

Organization is Key.

Packing is hard work, I only packed 2 boxes of pans in the Kitchen, I decided to skip the DVD's for the moment in the front room and do as much in the Kitchen as I can, But then I have about 10 more empty boxes, Today I'm putting in the application for rent in Barstow and It rained last night, Looks like rain again maybe.

I have GOOD NEWS folks! The move is off, I got a better deal from the park here, I'd mentioned I had an offer for $325 a month, The park here offered $320 a month and No deposit is needed, I could keep My washer & dryer hooked up and the lease can be month to month or 6 months or 12 months, I'll take the month to month.

This is good news for you Vic.

Perhaps in the future you will get another chance to buy somewhere as things ease up.

Some, Yes, Just pans and books, about 3 or 4 boxes really, I do have a few extra boxes to toss into the trash, So I'll consolidate some smaller ones and toss out the small ones instead.

I have to write out a small list of what I need the park to fix, Like the floor in the back bedroom, The swamp cooler(shot bearings), Both exterior doors need new weatherstripping, the front door could use some adjustment as when It rains the front door won't open easily, But outside of paint on the outside which can't be done right now(paints cosmetic I'm told), That's It.

Oh and My DSL went up by $5 a month, Oh wow.

And Thanks!

It'll have to be a section 8 rental, Unless the waiting list for vouchers opens up, Both would consume 30% of My check which would be $249 a month and then I'll need to move for real and I'll hire a mover then, So I'll stay mostly packed so that I won't have to look for boxes or do much packing, Plus I need to save up about $1800 or so I think, Which will take about 18 months(If I'm lucky). But for the time being I'm going to relax and watch the freeway traffic zip past to either Las Vegas NV or to Barstow CA and points to the west of that.

And thanks.

Glad you finally have some breathing room.
Now you can look at your leisure instead of being pressured into taking something that maybe is not the best.

You and Grace can relax a bit now.

Very good news, Vic, after a long, and often frustrating, saga.

Yeah, It wasn't exactly what I wanted originally, But I have to accept this and move on. Who knows? If I were able to get a housing choice voucher(which has a closed waiting list with 24,000 people in this county wanting/needing a house), I might be able to get a house, maybe, for the moment I'll rent though as that's all I can do currently.

Thanks PerryJay.

Ok this might be a late, As of April 1st 2011 until March 31st 2012, I have a lease for $320 a month and It's in writing too and this is for 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, That isn't easy to get. So far there isn't another raise in the water rate of $15 and this is just a pumping charge.

Glad that they saw the wisdom of retaining a good customer instead of holding their ground. Bet Grace is happy to be staying put too.

Yeah we'll You know how cats are, Oblivious to almost everything, Eventually probably in at least a Year I might be able to get into a section 8 housing, If an apartment on the ground floor opens up, Until then I'll stay mostly packed, So that means I need to buy two 72"x36"x24" resin storage shelving units from the Home Depot. That and keep Grace off of the aquarium, As now She has discovered that She can jump up 51" onto the top, Somehow I think She doesn't need wings, Just a cape, As She's Supercat... Who elsewise is a meek Pet in the Oasis Palms MHP, Her main weakness? Canned catfood, She likes Beef & Liver Pate. Liver, Yuck.
