High altitude condensation from U.S.A.F prototype aircraft has contaminated the primary subnet mask. Turn off your computer for 4 days to avoid damaging it. I will sacrifice myself and man the update button while the rest of you save yourselves. |

We've been seeing some weird contrails and funny-sounding aircraft flying in the direction of NAWTC China Lake lately. That isn't very far from Area 51. The other PCs/OSs have no problems? I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I downloaded 60 tasks, it took a while though. |

Look at the bright side - only ~1h left till they get in and start the outage ;) Maybe backoff times on transient upload errors should be higher and trigger immediate project backoff... It usually takes a while to have that server back up and running. Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

And read only error This, and the transient upload errors that V.W. Bobier reported, look alot like what we saw a couple weeks ago when a transient power surge/outage caused the upload server to reboot in "read only" mode and crashed one of the BOINC databases an hour or two before the scheduled outage. As soon as they got into the lab, Jeff/Matt took the whole project down to get a clean reboot on everything, then started the database maintenance and other outage work. If I remember correctly, all the "Validate Errors" got cleared up once the databases were recovered and the validators turned back on. Check back tonight or tomorrow, after the database maintenance is done. Around here, patience is not just a virtue, it is a requirement. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

(...) Latest since we all here around are members of SETI@home we have added patience to our character.. My validate errors are not longer in the overview.. I guess the SETI@home crew only deleted them.. So that I can't longer 'complain/whine'.. :o) X-D |

<drama> Jeff and the crew exchange piercing glances as the floor and rafters creak and groan under the ever increasing strain. The dust swirls in the beams of sunlight filtering though cracks in the heaving roof. </drama> |
