Why not?

A hot blanket on a warm night? It sounds awfully uncomfortable. So the question is "why?".

Johns in the UK, It may not be so Hot or Warm there at night, But then only John knows what the temp is outside His place.

Yes, but if, by his own definition, it is a warm night - why should he need a hot blanket? Of course it's not a hot night - certainly below 20 here (that's Celsius not Farenheit).

I usually have a blanket over Me when I go to sleep, Even when It's 74F(23C) in the bedroom, Warmer than that I dispense with the blanket, But then I have thermal sheets and a King sized blanket on a Queen sized bed, works rather well too.

No one is asking for 24/7

There are plenty who are. The ones asking for more reliability than a nuclear power plant come to mind. They need to engage their brains before their keyboards or their CUDA's.

.. right now I would be thrilled with 12/2. It would be a major upgrade

Yes, and as soon as someone funds their paycheck to that level, I'm sure it could happen.

Like they are rolling in the dough to make that happen! Haven't even covered 2008's budget and here it is in 2010. You all did know that didn't you?

Maybe I'm so bent out of shape because I've got nearly 2500 classic units, back in the day when you had a dial up modem and had to hit the update button to get the next work unit after you got on the net. Back in the days when the project might be down for a couple weeks in a row. Back then giving cycles meant something.

Cold nights and a warm blanket make sense. Warm nights and hot blankets would make me want a bath...

once again Gary.. if you would keep to topic and take it back to number crunching.. we can slap each other silly and it can all be good fun.

However adding to the thread of where this dicussion came from.. Pass.

It really does not belong in the cafe. My opinion.

Bottom line: I am willing to help with the project. If I was in charge I could certainly redo it (lots of those expenses are internal) and have many people angry with me. Count your blessings this will never happen.

But if you want to beat up on me because I am displeased with being unwittingly drafted into alpha testing.. please cut and paste this and take it to number crunching.. and we are off.
