Winning in LA, woooo!

Welcome to our humble home. Sorry that none of the pot holes you hit last year have been filled in, but we are broke.

Up here in Northern California, we don't fill our potholes because each one has become a delicate little self-contained eco-system and people sit around them holding signs, eating "special" brownies and singing "kumbaya".

Caltrain and HSR, Less expensive than Freeway Construction, As an example down in San Diego County, residents are not wanting the I5 fwy widened, Instead they want the existing passenger rail expanded as It costs half as much as the fwy($1.2Bn(rail) vs $3-4Bn(fwy)).

Winning while trying to stay awake. Was feeling a bit unwell this morning and thought it might be allergies so I took an anti-histamine. All that happened is that I fell asleep until 11am and have been drowsy all day.

I hope you're felling better today ... have a great a sunny Vancouver day ... best wishes, Byron :-)

Morning all. Jet Lag sucks. Don't suppose Universal Studios is going to be open at 5am is it?!

Thanks for all the kind words / wishes. I will put some pics up at some point, but won't have regular net access beyond LA and until I get to San Fran as it's either not free and VERY expensive or non existant.

Got a couple of shots out the plane window yesterday of Ice breaking away from Greenland to form Icebergs - amazing to see this process in action.

So today we're off to Universal Studios, then find somewhere nice for food this evening. A nice relaxing, change the body clock kinda day.

Tomorrow it's my mates Birthday and we're going to both Disney parks and he hopes to get a Disney Birthday pin :D I've got him a really nice surprise lined up for his Birthday (although he has to wait until later in the week to have it!), pick up from our Hotel in Vegas in a Limo, a Grand Canyon helicopter flight, drop down, have lunch, go on a tour in the afternoon, then get picked up and do a night flight of the Vegas Strip in the evening before being dropped to the Hotel by Limo again. I think (hope) he'll be impressed!

We have that over here, but it's mainly disorientated teenagers, at pop festivals, stoned on pot!

Same as it ever was.

Thsnk you Byron. I'm sure we will. Waiting for the restaurant to open so we can get Breakfast. Managed to kill the last couple of hours with a soak in the tub and a browse of the net, not at the same time clearly. Hopefully the jet lag will be sorted within a couple of days!
