Message 988639 - Posted: 12 Apr 2010, 16:34:06 UTC - in response to Message 988635.

Tomorrow, about tea time (UK) will be the opportunity to have a long win.

Is it almost Tuesday already?

Yep and so far I've had no one show up like I was told. :(

If You live in California, Vote NO on PG&E sponsored proposition 16, As It's a power grab and It's deceptive politics by a monopoly who has funded prop 16 all by itself. Proposition 16 is meant to get rid of CCA(Community Choice Aggregation) and to preserve PG&E's power monopoly within California where It serves residents poorly, The commercial on TV is deceptive propaganda, Sure there is a disclaimer saying they produced It, But It's in print for all of 4 seconds since the ad is less than 30 seconds long PG&E does not have to have an audio disclaimer.

Wikipedia wrote:
Community Choice Aggregation or CCA is a system adopted into law in the states of Massachusetts, Ohio, California, New Jersey and Rhode Island which allows cities and counties to aggregate the buying power of individual customers within a defined jurisdiction in order to secure alternative energy supply contracts. Currently, nearly one million Americans receive service from CCAs.

[snip]

In particular, San Francisco adopted a CCA Ordinance drafted by Fenn (86-04, Tom Ammiano) in 2004, creating a CCA program to build 360 Megawatts (MW) of solar, green distributed generation, wind generation, and energy efficiency and demand response to serve San Francisco ratepayers. Specifically, the ordinance combined the power purchasing authority of CCA with a revenue bond authority also developed by Fenn to expand the power of CCA, known as the H Bond Authority (Charter Section 9.107.8, Ammiano), to finance the new green power infrastructure, worth approximately $1 Billion. In 2007 the City adopted a detailed CCA Plan also written primarily by Fenn (Ordinance 447-07, Ammiano and Mirkarimi), which established a 51% Renewable Portfolio Standard by 2017 for San Francisco.

CCA may be considered another attempt [1] of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - more commonly known as the San Francisco Water Department. to take over distribution of electricity within the city from PG&E. People in the city have long wanted to remove PG&E's stranglehold on the citizens of San Francisco.[2] Almost every city election in the past ten years has included some attempt[3] to shift the balance of power away from PG&E [4] and the company fights vigorously to retain its monopoly over the city in which it is headquartered.[5]
