Of all things to stow away on the Space Shuttle I think the consensus is that the Bat is toast now, The Bat may have been stuck to the tank cause of the cold. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Has anyone heard from Monday lately. . .? Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Maybe that bat was blown off by the passing winds but probably had to pass through that superhot flame. |

I agree with SuperJoker: The bat got toasted. I´m affraid it was not its day! But NASA did take lots of precautions since the area is something like a Natural Park or reserve for wildlife. Just another failed step of Earth´s life to conquer outer space: quite a hard/dangerous mission. |

Can you imagine what the bat thought when the space shuttle took off? Reminds me of the question what is the last thing that goes through a bug's mind when it hits your windshield? What the bat thought is a byproduct of that answer. me@rescam.org |
