Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Special weather statement: THE VERY LOW SNOW LEVELS ON WEDNESDAY WILL BRING THE THREAT OF SNOW SHOWERS... WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOW LEVELS FALLING LOCALLY TO 1500 FEET ON WEDNESDAY...THERE IS EVEN THE POSSIBILITY OF BRIEF SNOW SHOWERS IN THE FOOTHILLS OF THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY VALLEYS... AS WELL AS THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS. Just may get to see what snow looks like on a palm tree! :) In case you wonder I don't know the last time it snowed in Los Angeles. Sunny Southern California indeed. |

Depends on where in L.A. you're talking about. Snow in the mountains surrounding the L.A. Basin isn't at all uncommon, and we've certainly got some right now. Many of those are near 5,000 feet, and if the snow level gets down to 1,500 there could be snow on Mt. Lee -- just above the "Hollywood" sign. |
