Indian probe crashes on the Moon.

The spacecraft carrying India's first lunar probe,
Chandrayaan-1, lifts off from Sriharikota.

My favorite site is still Verismocat...... Home of the proud and regal Maine Coon.......my favorite breed.......
They can and often do become very large kitties......but with the disposition of the softest little furball you have ever met........I think one of the world record holding big kitties is still a Verismo.....

Indian probe "lands on the moon"?

"the 34-kilogram probe hit the moon surface traveling at 1.6 kilometers per second, which is a speed of 5,760 kilometers per hour (3,579 mph).

Kumar said the probe transmitted sufficient signals to the mother craft before landing, but no more were expected after the impact."

At that speed, no more signals is an understatement!

Whenever I cook, I have to watch out for my kitties. They are always underfoot. Should see them when I make anything with tuna. The moment they hear the can opener, they are at my side.

The Moons been slugged, India is trying, Technology today drives new jobs and innovation, Of course some in this small world of ours don't like innovation at all.

Ahhhh yes......it's very hard for me to have any tuna for myself on a sandwich without being stormed by frantic kitties.......
Even if I manage to open the thing without making too much 'can opener' noise.....the kitties can smell a tuna a mile away......how can the aroma go that far that fast? I'll never know.....but the kitties do......
