Been doing any traveling in the tardis lately?

I tried to fix the chameleon circuit; now, instead of a blue box, the TARDIS is in the shape of a 1989 Honda Accord LX-i. I'll drive her around town awhile and see what happens.

Winning and smiling.

Another warm(ish) sunny day here, and it's only 10.10am (local). I'd better get up and do things, any thing(s)

So does the last person to post "really" win?

Yes they do, but it is when you draw the line for the win.

As this can be a competitive thread which posts always coming in, there is a high probability the nominated winner can see a post after their one. That post will arrive either as I am preparing the post that declares the winner, or just before I post.

What I try to do, having decided either a specific numbered post or a spread of posts to work within, is to see if the last poster has been there a good few minutes.

But, having decided who the winner is, I have to say the judge's decision is final

Have a good day, and may the evening (when it comes) be beer'o'clock time!

I'm honoured by your support Mumps! It appears that the last person to post isn't necessarily the person who wins!

I understand the issues involved in declaring the winner as I have run one or two of these threads around the traps over the years, but there are ways around the problem that occured in #64. But that is now history......

I have to agree with Daniel, this is an Excellent explanation of how this works. As for the Game Show host...Not quite so sure about that, I withhold my final decision on this until some time in the future... Of course it might have helped if my name was written correctly, most game show hosts have that part down pretty good, LOL.

<EDIT> I also like the statement the judge's decision is final!!!!

Sweet. Seeing as #64 was the first one I participated in, I hadn't seen anything about how the game concluded. It's always helpful to have the rules laid out and I appreciate the explanation.

*win* from work...
