I just heard from my friend that has cancer. She is actually doing well considering the chemo and radiation treatments. She has met "minimum requirements" for radiation. So, no more radiation for awhile. Now it's just a matter of working through what's already been dosed to her system. So far, the Doctor(s) seem to believe that everything is under control. She had a tumor in a lymph node that was caused by an "Unknown Primary"... (That's the term she gave me.) Something to the effect that whatever and wherever the primary mass was; her body naturally fought off and won against the primary mass. However; before that occurred, it spread to a lymph node in her neck. I don't really understand it all; just glad however that she's doing better. TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Well coming from a long line of people who have fought off cancer(just about every close relative of mine)I can tell you people do survive it , that doesn't sound good though. Not trying to make you worry if she is through with the Chemo That definately is a good sign but a hard process to have to go through or even to WATCH. I'm happy she is recovering and doing better. My thoughts are with you both. Amazing that her body defeated the main part of it on its own, but the Lymphatic system is very odd or at least it is to me. Definately will need lots of follow ups and checks. I wish you both the best, now I am off to bed, Back in the morn. |
