Blurf, do you have a link to some info about John? I'm sure many of us did not know him, but are curious to know a little of who are fellow cruncher was.

John was an extremely active cruncher for Setiusa focussing on Rosetta & S@H only.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu//show_user.php?userid=8100829

While he wasn't active on these boards, he was a regular on the Seti@USA boards taking part in almost every discussion. He actively welcome new members and participated in our Weekly Trivia forum.

He passed away from a Heart Attack on Friday 9/7 while taking his daily walk. His son said he spoke of Seti often and couldn't wait to check his stats.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without affect,
without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just around the corner.

All is well.

His son said he spoke of Seti often and couldn't wait to check his stats.

Now that's cool. May he rest in peace.

May he rest in peace, and may his family come over the pain caused by their loss. My condolences to them.

I'll pray for both - his immortal soul, and his grieving family.
