There was a local children's show where I grew up, it was called Mr. Zing and Tuffy. They did games and skits to a live audience of children and showed cartoons. It was a very popular venue for birthday parties, I even got to have one of mine there.

Here's a pic of the main characters, Mr Zing (center) was a zookeeper, Tuffy the Tiger (right), Shaggy Dog (left), and Leafy Bark, The Talking Tree (back center).
