Here's a pic of the Moller 400b in action:

What's with the lanyards? Does he not trust his own invention? ;)

That's very observant of you!

I was going to disprove your statement with this pic of the demonstration run for shareholders a while back...

But Lookie Lookie! there's a lanyard there too! LOL

I guess that being a prototype worth $3.5 million they'd rather be safe than sorry.

That Trabant's a sex machine. I wonder what that '40s crowd would've thought of the Viper. LOL

This Carlo Mollino design car looks like it's just made to break world speed records on the Utah salt flats. :-)

Looks like these two grabbed a page out of Ford's Mustang playbook. The concept of what's old is now new.

An all electric sports car.

That's a Lotus Elise with electric motors in the rear wheels. Lotus are doing the same with their Extige, but with more power and quicker.

If I without notice, just launched, took off, and emerged, from my back garden in a flying car... and flew off into the sunset... Would the RAF (Royal Air Force, UK) come after me with fighter jets???

Also, if somehow I built an orbital space vehicle and phoned the governement and said "Im going to space, goodbye"... would they just think I was a looney... or would they scramble a fighter jet, a missile.. or even one of NASA's Shuttles after me lol???

And I wonder what the governents response would be if all of a sudden, a warp-powered starship swooped into orbit, with hundreds of humans on board.. from maybe 500 years into the future... How would we all act?

Anyway, back to the flying car topic lol.. yeah, well... any flying vehicle doesnt handle as well as tires on a road does it... like a hovercraft or any other air vehicle, even a boat for that matter... you dont get the same level of handling... Would it be logical to abandon tires for an air approach??
