Status page is all green at main Seti. Managed to upload and report both Main and Beta. Upload was very slow and even hung for a while before finishing. edit: one validation error. |

Unfortunately, the networks graphs aren't showing the normal pattern for a healthy recovery overall. Incoming data looks better for now, but we'll have to see if it continues upward like you would expect as more hosts start trying to upload again. Also since many are already on somewhat long deferrals, it may take quite a while to determine a definitive trend. Alinator |

Well, for now, I have uploaded and reported 100's of WUs from my rigs that had built up since the outage started. No new work, but it's a great start for now. At least should get some of the backlog out of the way if the total solution cannot be found until Berkeley gets back to work tomorrow. I wonder how Simon's new Brambleweeny rig is doing... Who ever fixed things back at base thank you very much. What happened? Excellent work by someone on their New Year break ... congratulations, and all waiting results gone. I think my caches are stilllarge enough for BOINC to decide not to ask for new WUs. Excellent, and congratulations It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Everything uploaded finally, and I didn't see any validation errors (but I did get a lot of pendings), but it's telling me no work from project now. Not good, as I'm on my last WU with about 5 minutes left to crunch. 1/1/2007 10:12:43 AM|SETI@home|Requesting 168855 seconds of new work 1/1/2007 10:12:48 AM|SETI@home|Scheduler request succeeded 1/1/2007 10:12:48 AM|SETI@home|No work from project :-( |

How about a special thread on the home page called TiTsup. it can give the latest prob info rather than crunchers feeling neglected and causing divorces with her in bed. I wasn't planning on spending that much on the partner this New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The three issues (no upload and 'heavy pending' certainly, and no downloads - possibly) may be related. In any event I'm glad to see SETI staying relatively healthy. It seems the problem run SETI had last year has migrated to Einstein. Those folks have had a run of major problems, power outages, RAID 6 failures where two drives go offline at the same time, along with a few other issues. When SETI was going through its pain early last year, I shifted my cycles over to Einstein, with the current problems over in Einstein land, I've added Rosetta to my high priority project list -- and they seem to be running very solid. With the run of problems the Einstein folks have encountered in the past month, perhaps they need to set up an Instability Study Group (ISG) which may suggest that Staying the Course is not going to result in victory over the Instabilitigents..... Everything uploaded finally, and I didn't see any validation errors (but I did get a lot of pendings), but it's telling me no work from project now. Not good, as I'm on my last WU with about 5 minutes left to crunch. |

straight off the SETI homepage... January 1, 2007 We are currently experiencing database performance problems. This is resulting in erratic workunit downloads. |

I cannot upload my results again. I think it's not because of the weekly outage, or? I get this message: Network error: server returned nothing (no headers, no data) Temporarily failed upload of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX: http error Backing off 1 minutes and 0 seconds on upload of file XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Now we have the server problem back again? |

I cannot upload my results again. I think it's not because of the weekly outage, or? It's just cause the servers have a lot of peoples PCs send WU's to, So I can't upload anything either, So I'd say wait and let the PCs handle It overnight. Any further details on this situation? The home page is not very helpful. |

Any further details on this situation? The home page is not very helpful. Did you check the tech news page? They had a corrupted database table, which they rebuilt during last Tuesdays scheduled outage. The Cricket graph looks wonderful now. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
