Oh my, it's been boring around here lately from a breakdown (vs take down) perspective. I say let's get all worked up over this from the Status page:

sah_assimilator1 kryten Running
sah_assimilator2 kryten Running
sah_assimilator3 kryten Running
sah_assimilator4 kryten Not Running

My gosh, what shall we do??? I have some results about to run past the deadline in 12 days. Hope they fix this soon.

Why does BOINC say I need to free up 19.6 MB of space on my FreeBSD box, when I have over a Gig free? Damn! I can't crunch with that box, because no work is going it's way. Oh, the HORROR....!!!! )-;<

Only one down a little while ago, now two? If this keeps up kryten might be completely down in a few more hours! Panic time for sure then.

Sorry I still like Mine BEST! LOL

Last XML stats were generated 17 Feb UTC (roughly 16:42) at this time it is now 20 Feb UTC.. That Means Credit Mongers, are haveing a Fit... It Also means that Stats Sites will also have another Large Spike to scroll off the screen in 60 days...

This does not mention that Matt L said old stuff was being removed and other New stuff installed. News shortly... DOES "Shortly" include TWO WEEKS+ delay? This also goes with promised "Budget" which would define the New hardware that may be being migrated...

I appologize in that I remember "promises" we all know that as far as Seti goes... They get forgotten...

Al

BTW Yes I get "negative" at times... My question becomes, "who is responsbile for keeping Dr. A and Crew Honest?"

No XML stats generated?

Hum... I wondered where they were getting all of those spare processor cycles and extra Data Base access times for the deleters to run and catch up.

just a thought, is this due to the SQL upgrade at all? i'm not complaining, just curious as to why generation has been paused

Individual numbers keep working, if indications of various broken web pages as a result of the SQL upgrade (PHP based web pages). I sould suspect that some normal Queries would slightly hammered also...

Dang it, this was a thread for being silly, but still bringing up number crunching issues. Yes, a seriously silly thread, or a silly serious thread...lol

But now that it's been ruined. As I understand it the status page has three different messages for the servers, "running", "not running", and "Disabled". At first there was just one assimilator saying "not running", now there are two. If it were taken down manually, it should say "disabled", or atleast to my understanding. Since it says "not running", can I assume a fault? Since there is now two down and the WFA (waiting for assimilation) number is higher than normal, I speculate that the DB is having trouble.

Just a guess mind you.
