Looks like I will spank out 50k overall Boinc tonight in my sleep. Also posted a new personal best RAC on SETI, of 703. Thats with only 2 of the upgrades done, gave a 250 jump from normal. Still 2 more upgrades and 3 additions to get programed and rolling. Looks like 1000+ RAC on SETI could be the next goal. 2006 will have a milestone of a different sort. I vote for Misfit. :p Hey, aside from the obvious "I'm *running* it!" reply, why aren't you in the running FOR it??? OK... Noise over. Signal: I've hit my 9,000 credits mark, and I've... no, my computer's finally passed 1 6 0 RAC . Funny thing; I've not changed my BOINC install or anything on my computer for *ages*, and yet the RAC keeps climbing. Can anyone explain this?!? (I seek further knowledge & understanding...) . o O ( Geek! ) :b ---[ CX ]--- [edit] formatting, adjusted content [/edit] |

Pardon the noise; missed the edit deadline. :p Clued in to "real pics" as opposed to voting for "profile pics".. .. though Grace Park does look darned good in any case. So please ignore the question as posted previously. Thanks. [NOISES OFF] |

I know everyone is excited to reach a milestone. Sometimes it's exciting just to see that new credits have been posted to your account. But the excitement fades if you post a new milestone every day. This thread will mean more to everyone if we confine our milestone posts to the bigger milestones. For new people that could be 1,000, 2,000, 3,000.... After that it's better if you set a higher goal. Like: 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, 1,000,000.... Sort of like the badges on SETI "Classic". It's true that every day brings new credits. But to make the Milestones thread more meaningful, please consider setting higher goals. Those higher, more significant goals, give the readers of this thread a greater reason to cheer you on. One other thing, also please try to condense the congratulatory posts to one or two posts. This is just a suggestion. I wish all of you success in reaching your milestones. I should be reaching my next milestone goal sometime this coming week. I set that goal 7 months ago, WOW!
