They went to the pub in the evening, watched television and generally felt trapped into the rat-run. One day Dave was watching television when an advert came on the screen; Fortnight long Two person Carribean Cruise, 100 pounds a head. Yeah thought Dave, that looks fun. He talked it over with Cheryl and she agreed. So they went on this cruise. All went well until the third night, when... Now its your turn, this should be fun. Well, to say the man fell over the rail wasn't entirely accurate; it was more like he had been sucked into the inky blackness of the ocean. But wait, how could the ocean be so dark at 2:47 in the afternoon? Then Dave noticed, there was something different about this night. His feeble brain couldn't know what was happening, but the strange conflux of his accepting this free trip and reading page 247 of Cheryl's romance novel at 2:47, the precice moment when a stranger slipped and fell into their stateroom window had caused a cosmic/subatomic rift in the structure of the universe. Space and time were folding in on themselves! What Dave though was night was in reality a void not seen since the beginning. The ship's deck chairs were now sailing into the vortex . . . now an island, compressed to a fine point was being absorbed . . . the world was fading, graying, turning dark, all physical structure disolving into the end of time . . . night . . . sleep . . . black. And then there was nothingness. Was this a dream? No, Dave pinched himself (as much of himself as can be pinched in nothingness), this was not a dream. Dave had witnessed the end. ID: 226995 ·

The TARDIS was cruising away from the planet where he had recently saved the people from a giant hampster. When he had finished his tea he placed the cup back on the side and walked over to the control column, just then he heard a click behind him, the cup had fallen straight through the table which had disappeared, in fact the walls sucked to be being sucked down a giant plughole, there was nothing he could do, he was being sucked down with it. The TARDIS central column was going crazy, there was a creak, and the main control panel lifted staright up. A brilliant white light spilled out into the craft, the time field was reversing the apocolypse, everything sprang back to where it had been before, the end of the world had been resolved. Meanwhile, back on the boat... Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. ID: 227082 ·
