I think it is obscene and disgusting to call for a TWO minutes silence for the London bombings, whilst still maintaining a ONE minutes silence on Armistice Day (11th November) That is the twisted Political thinking of the mad minds that took Britain into the Middle East conflict without thought of the consequences. I will NOT assuage their guilt by pausing for one second. What is wrong with combining this pseudo ceremony with that of 11th November. Politicians are a load of no-good hypocrites. ID: 359174 ·

I think it's possible to hold the two thoughts at the same time. I agree about the mad blindness and reckless abandonment with which we were pulled into the Middle East conflict. But at the same time I found today very sobering and sad. My friend's son was on the bus directly behind the one that was blown up and he walked several hours to get to my house. He was obviously in a state when he arrived. I couldn't even go to pick him up, no traffic through. Like Es, I am also proud of being a Londoner. But we were afraid, for quite some time after.
