Profile: Pellinore

Personal background
I am a retired heavy construction and surface mining estimator. When I retired my wife and I moved to a small town in eastern Oregon, along the historic Oregon Trail. We have two dogs and a cat, which live with us. We also have two married children who do not.

My hobbies include woodworking, gardening, fishing, travel, and verbal story telling (lying). I find that the skill of verbal story telling is very useful when bragging about the fish that I catch or the size of my tomatoes.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I became interested in the SETI project after I visited the US National Radio Observatory last summer. I think that this is a good use for the unused time on my computer. I also run Malariacontrol and Rosetta@Home, because I believe that we should help people here and now.
