It is a hot summer here. It is 23°C now. Just add a easy 15 - 20 °C during the day. |

My mattress is here and I've unboxed it, I've stored the box in the front bedroom, and I've started to bag the bed spring, so far all by myself, at one point the mattress had me pinned, pinned I say. Grace as usual was there to inspect things. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I noticed a bit of action going on up at the fire shed so I went up for a sticky beak to see what was going on. We finally got our leaf blowers and 2 for each fire truck so they're taking 1 truck at a time and fitting them out with the chargers and bracketing to hold them (they're 36V Makita jobs). We've been wanting these for at least 5yrs now after seeing what a farmer was doing with 1 back then and they'll save a lot of the limited amount of water that we can carry on the trucks meaning we can spend more time in the field and less time looking for more water. It sort of seems appropriate that they turn up on a day with a cold gale blowing. :-) Cheers. |

Winning after an afternoon of winter pruning some shrubs to top up the garbage bin before putting it out by the kerb. Now I'm going to enjoy a few ginger beers. Cheers. |

Sunday Morning Win! Still getting some smoke from the Dixie Fire. Now the largest in the US and 3rd largest in CA history. Pretty amazing to see all of the fires including some big ones in Madagascar and Africa. |

8-8-2021 at 2:26 PM - PDT [Update:] Got my freedom back, yesterday. Went to Panera with a friend, had coffee and Turkey Chilli. Both of us hadn't been out and about in awhile, so we actually spent most of the day at Panera. We just talked, hung out, and watched the cars go by on the main drag. Surprised us both when I picked up my iPhone and saw the time was 5:44 PM!!! We got there just before 2 PM. A day well spent in good company and a good time was had by the both of us. Mom is no longer coughing or sneezing. She has some body aches. Fever is gone. Dad's sneezing has diminished, and he still doesn't have any other symptoms. I finally got through to my mentor. He did get hospitalized with his wife at Kaiser in Walnut Creek, CA. I've been calling every couple of days to check in on him. Most of the time, he's been VERY under the weather and NOT in a mood to talk on the phone. Friday; however, he sounded stronger and in better spirits. Nurses were in the room; however, and he couldn't talk with me too long. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Sounds good TL. I was able to get my shoes on today after I had tripped and fell on Thursday morning at 3.30am, my toes were being painful so I could not wear them until today, 10-20mins to climb up my sofa just to fight gravity, ugh. More good news I got some more work done on bagging my bed spring. I'm not going anywhere today as my hips both hurt. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Straight after the wheelie bin got emptied this morning I finished pruning the last 2 miniature crepe myrtles out the front of the house that I didn't have room for in the bin yesterday (I did get 4 done yesterday) before wheeling the bin back in. I just have the crepe myrtle tree in the backyard to do now as it has got to the height where it will drop leaves into my gutters again, but that 1 can wait until an afternoon when it's out of the shade of the house and I feel like going up and down the ladder (maybe tomorrow arvo). Cheers. |
