7-30-2021 at 2:32 PM - PDT [Update:] I was right, mom has the COVID. The tests we took do NOT indicate if it is Delta or not; BUT, since we all had Pfizer shots much earlier in the year, and the news is saying that 74% of the breakthrough cases are in previously vaccinated people, we firmly believe it IS Delta. Dad came up negative, thankfully. :-) Except for my draining sinuses, I feel like I did on Monday, practically no symptoms. After the sinuses drain into the lungs, I'm currently able to productively cough out the crud, and reduce wheezing to 0 again. I'm breathing normally, no stuck congestion at all. I'm hoping that by Sunday the Monoclonal Antibodies take full effect, BUT again, they said it could take 7 days total, so that puts it at next Wednesday. Quarantine will be through next Saturday, 8-7-2021. Then, I'm free to rejoin the world again. Poor mom may need the full two weeks to fully get over this. The doctor deemed that she is a no go for the Monoclonal Antibodies as she doesn't have 'comorbidities' like I have. I would have thought that age alone, (her and dad are 80), that she'd qualify on that basis. Mom says she just feels achy like having a bad Flu. Slight fever still persists. TL [EDIT:] [@Carlos,] I'm glad your son was found to be OK. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Arn't kids just great? No matter how old they get they still find ways to worry us parents. Winning on a sunny Saturday morning now that the frost is gone. Cheers. |

Hey! Good luck with a lack of comorbidities!! Good health is rather good to enjoy... Good luck also. Meanwhile, I'm totally bemused with the direction for the COVID numbers here. What wobbly direction next other than we're at scary high numbers infected... At least the weather in one respect should have dampened down the number of new victims for this Friday. However, that very same cool damp breezy weather will have enhanced the snug spread of those that did venture out to be enclosed inside against such weather... Stay safe? No one here yet who has been fully vaxed has been hospitalised TL and while there's only 2 in hospital here who had just 1 shot neither are close to being in ICU as just what they call "oxygen therapy" these days is being administered so you all have luck on your side. Cheers. |

7-31-2021 at 5:06 AM - PDT [@ML1,] Thanks, again, ML1. :-) [@Lynn, Vic, Gary, and Mike,] Thanks, Lynn, Vic, Gary, and Mike. :-) [@Wiggo,] That's what they're saying here, too... People whom are vaxxed ARE able to stay out of the hospital, they're just high in infection rates. This thing, (Delta), is as virulent as Chickenpox according to the news. So, God willing mom will get over this thing without the Monoclonal Antibodies that I have been given. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Winning from the Delta, without delta. The buzz is that 4 people on my island have been infected. All of the cases were at a local watering hole on the water. So people are making up once again. Vaccination rates have slowly increased too. Scott, I am pulling for you and your mom. But it sounds like you are both being well cared for. |

Vaccination rates have slowly increased too. Thanks, Carlos. I hope you get to stay well clear of this accursed thing. It's NOT fun. I'm feeling just about 100% normal today. Sinuses seem under control, again. No more dripping. So, also, no more Asthma issues... :-) I think I'll be one of the lucky one's whom will get full antibody support from the Monoclonal Antibodies in 4 Days time, which is tomorrow. Quarantine, though, still in effect until the 7th. Mom will be quarantined until the 13th, and dad still seems clear of any issues. Mom says she doesn't even remember when he's ever had a regular Flu. Dad's constitution in such matters seems pretty strong. :-) Still, they've said that my dad should keep monitoring how he feels, AND IF he starts having any symptoms to go back to our Primary Care Doctor. Hopefully successfully dodged all the town-dwelling zombies!! Stay safe folks! Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

I do wonder who gets to assume the 'authority' to name a particular day of the year for whatever cause or piece of Marketing. Is the worst and most crass example that of Christmas Day / Boxing Day for how those days have been usurped from old gentle traditions into a cocaine/caffeine/sugar-fueled frenzy? Enjoy!? Stay safe!! How to propose a national holiday (US). I have never tried that. I usually just have fun naming streets. My favorites are the streets on a project I called Providence Landing. I placed the central part at the corner of Enterprise and Voyager. Overlooking Vandenberg space launch facilities I placed Sagan Circle. Winning on a cool morning. |
