Went and got expensive. I bought two Duracell 7a/h 6v batteries for $78.23. My ups battery pack bit the dust. Recycled the old batteries and reused the connector for the pack. Now I have little worry about electrical faults hitting my desktop computer. |

All the local channels from Dish Network that the county pays for are out, so I called county service district 40 since there is no signal from Elephant Mountain and now I wait. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Fell on my butt while pulling a 4 drawer filing cabinet up a loading ramp. I slipped and landed on my butt. Filing cabinet landed on me. Some laceration, but main damage is soft tissue. It hurts to sit, drive and bend. I cannot even put my own shoes on right now. But nothing broken. |

My sympathies Carlos, last time I fell I did a face plant, My last Doctor accused Me of doing that on purpose, It happened in the kitchen on a linoleum floor while I was able to wear socks and was wearing socks. Of course add a cat in and timber! And while I didn't break anything, getting 440lbs off the floor using only My left side was very painful and I was already sore from the fall, My right side has two past dislocations, the right hip is eligible for a new joint, but cause I'm heavy, it's go away fatty. That smarts :-( I hope the filing cabinet was intact..... Glad that you are OK barring a few cuts and bruises, they will repair much quicker than broken bones, but can be quite painful during the process. Next time get someone else to move those errant filing cabinets ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Oh @&$:!! Carlos. That is not a new way to get a vacation. :-( I’ve had my share of ouches. I think we all have. Healing is usually long and painful. My last stupid move was on a pallet jack. I was using it like a scooter and I hit a small piece of wood from a pallet and it acted like a brake pedal pushed all the way to the carpet and no seatbelt. I managed to stay with the pallet jack almost. My knees and legs got a bit bruised. Upper body had some new aches. Luckily nobody saw me do it. So I got away with it. But I won’t try that any time soon. |

There's nothing wrong with pallet jack racing so long as: Nobody sees you You don't get hurt Nobody else gets hurt Nothing gets broken Oh, and you don't post the video on any (un)social media Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
