Thanks. There's a time for bunkering, but - according to Eric's facebook post - now is the time for gathering in, and they'd like to have the "final complete set" back quickly, please. I'd also say it's time to switch off the 'process resends first' option - I only got that one because it was bunkered, and Eric lost patience. (Would have eventually needed a resend, actually, because it's an overflow needing a super-quorum, but he probably didn't know that when he decided to bunker it.) |

Already PM the user and he is willing to help. I speak only for me of course but you could see i power up all my GPU's after i read the post from Eric and now i have less than 7 K WU on the host. Expect all will be served and reported in 1 or 2 days max since all who left are vlars. But i suggest you, who has access to Eric, tell him to make a simple post asking exactly what you talk about. I'm sure all who read that post will complain and will do they part, but only if that comes from an "oficial project staff source" not from the constant noise from the others (i'm not calling your perfect razonable request as noise BTW). Something needs to be tell, FB is not the oficial channel of the project. Not all read FB (I personalty hate). We have an oficial channel for the project: This Forum ![]() |

Could do, but in general I try to avoid pestering Eric directly, except in emergencies - despite his spam filter, he must have the most horrendous inbox. The routine stuff is better handled by Mr. Kevvy and the Kittyman (hey! Great name for a band!). We'll see how it washes out over the next day or two, now everyone's back up to speed. |

Others could do, what is important: that must come from an "oficial source" not from the common noise. I know you understand what i means. "Mr. Kevvy and the Kittyman (hey! Great name for a band!)" So we are left with the question can either of them carry a tune? Yes, I know there is technology that allows a flat singer to move up to on key but I would rather hear unprocessed voices.... Tom M A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Greetings, Holy dingle berries! I got 1 task today! I'm, again, flabbergasted! Woohoo! :) I guess some of us non-essentials CAN get a task every few days. ;) Have a great day! :) Siran CAPT Siran d'Vel'nahr - L L & P _\\// Winders 11 OS? "What a piece of junk!" - L. I figure they'll have to have another run or two through the outstanding tasks in the next few days- I've still got 259 Pendings and 342 Inconclusives (Valids at 1173 for now). Grant Darwin NT |

Pendings 535 . . Inconclusives 647 . . Valid 2903 . . A big chunk has been moved from long term pending to valid thanks to the efforts of the guys at Berkeley (thanks Eric). But Inconclusives are wayyy high. Hopefully things will settle quickly now ......... Stephen :) |

Yes, lots of ways to manipulate the data at that site. What is interesting is that the average is 50 days out but some of the outliers are ridiculously long at almost 100 days. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

What is interesting is that the average is 50 days out but some of the outliers are ridiculously long at almost 100 days.50 days is bad enough, but yeah those 3 month & (almost) 1 week deadline Tasks were really over the top. Especially considering there were no problem with much longer AP Tasks with only a 1 month deadline. Something for them to consider when Seti makes a return. *fingers crossed* Grant Darwin NT |

Just got my own batch of presends for today. Look at WU 3919244990. Original deadline: 29 Apr 2020 First presend: 18 Apr 2020, 15:04:45 UTC Second presend: 22 Apr 2020, 8:08:57 UTCSo, they're only allowing less than 4 days for the first presend to come back before losing patience. Looks like the first presendee will get it back in due course, but it's possibly a slow machine only crunching part time. I've got a bigger batch, but on a fast machine. |

Not very smart resend. The host crunching the previous one is returning tasks at a slow but steady rate and has only 6 tasks left, so it will very likely return it pretty soon, so all this extra resend accomplished was potentially extending the time the workunit will linger in the database by 6 weeks if the new task had ended up in a black hole host. |
