No, I said all I can say under the circumstances. Just keep an eye on the News forum.

How long is this "news" going to take to be released? A day .....year

Now.

I hope it is about SETI shutting down the crunching part of the project, for an extended time, or forever.
It's run its course, and now it's time for the analyzing of all 20+ years worth of results.

Sten, you totally nailed it. I usually find the most unpleasant answer is the correct one as well. :^)

I guess I can stop planning the new PC I was going to order.

I can use my current rig to crunch peanuts now.

Can`t report any work, do they already unplug the servers?

No...

There's already a system-wide slowdown... Likely due to the credit hounds gobbling up all the remaining available WUs!

Can't really do that when the servers aren't sending out any work now can ya?

The current problem is something else. Maybe making system tweaks to prepare for tomorrow's outage? maybe making some other tweaks to prepare for D-Day? (Mar 31). We can only speculate.

Let them run - SETI isn't closing its doors until the end of the month.

Looks like I picked the right time to come off my 13 year hiatus before this came to an end.

Well, I won't reach my goal of 50 million credit, before it's over.
But that's OK, and something I can live without :-)

Now to the analyzing, and to find out if ET use Radio waves or something else.

I imagine there will be some cleanup work to do unless they are going to do this all in house. Either way I hope I get credit for our pending work. If I don't that is also ok

Switch your GTX 980 system to LINUX and you'll make it no problem :D

Just got some new tasks, and 100% so far are erroring out with:
427	SETI@home	03/02/20 7:26:10 PM	[error] File 27my10aa.15512.1703.8.35.195 has wrong size: expected 720994, got 723034
428	SETI@home	03/02/20 7:26:10 PM	[error] Checksum or signature error for 27my10aa.15512.1703.8.35.195

Wondering how long one can post here with RAC < 1

At least Tuesday maintenance will be minutes with just backing up the forums.

Think I've got a borked machine here. Guess I won't waste time trying to fix it here, it runs Einstein fine ...
Weird error, though.

I have those too but they are not the latest tasks. They are instead spread all over the place in the fifo order between tasks of much shorter deadlines.
