An AOPA Air Safety Foundation video I recently saw had a very good explanation of the Deep State.

There was a flight instructor at a flight school and he was a maverick. He would take his students (beginners) up and do the normal training and also add a bit, he would do some aerobatics. Nothing really wrong with giving someone a ride, except he was doing in it an aircraft that wasn't built to do aerobatics and it was teaching his students bad habits and things that were well beyond their skills. The other instructors knew and a couple told him to knock it off, but he didn't. They did not notify management. They wanted to get along. They did not notify regulators. They wanted to get along. One day as you can imagine the aerobatics caught up with the airplane that was not built for it. No survivors.

So they saw something and didn't say something. Unlike the "deep state" whistle-blower who saw something and said something.

One must remember the right believes in individuals, not humanity. They never see a greater good, just what is in it for them at the moment. -- If I make noise that would upset the system and be bad for me, so keep mouth shut. Very short term view.

In that context it really becomes obvious who is the deep state and where the spring is that feeds the swamp.

There is the left, there is the right, there are the anarchists and there are the statists who occupy the corners of a geometric plane and then the center. I see many posts here where left and right are used but the person saying it is actually thinking of Statism or perhaps Anarchy. One hopes this is done in error and not intentionally, for the latter would be trolling.

Political Reality is N dimensional with N planes at right angles to each other. Few can properly conceptualize such a system so it is normally only given as a 2 dimensional plane. Persons who have problems with such simple geometry attempt to simplify farther to a single line which is a dismal failure.

What the right wing press does is one thing. What a President, in this case Disgusting Donald did. Is something very, very serious.

While probably not 'in good taste', I doubt there are 500 people in the country who have not previously seen the name in print. I posted it here myself a month ago and it was removed by admin.(a move I fully understand due to the possible legal ramifications and the cost of defending a suit against SETI and Cal Berkeley).

However, this 'whistle blower' is not a white knight seeking to right social wrong or reveal criminal actions(remember NO CRIMES have been alleged, just nebulous and questionable concepts of 'Abuse of power and Obstruction of Congress'), and in my view he is himself a criminal guilty of perjury and participating in an attempted coup of an elected President, and therefore should not deserve anonymity. The Sixth Amendment states the right of the accused to face and question all accusers in a criminal action. The fact that his sponsors feel his identity should be concealed would seem to call into question whether the prosecuting body actually believe the Impeachment is charging High Crimes or Misdemeanors.

That his privacy is in jeopardy is no different than the privacy of Trump supporters in restaurants and other public venues and in some cases their private residences which has been assaulted repeatedly. If the Dims who placed him in this position are truly concerned for his well being they should provide professional protection for him and possibly his family.

Just another tempest in a teacup.

No matter what you, or I believe about an individual whistle blower. No President should place any whistle blower and his/her family in jeopardy.

We have always respectfully disagreed on many things, and this is another.

I do not believe The President placed Mr X in any greater jeopardy than has already been achieved, on his own efforts, by agreeing to be a part of, at best an attempted coup which could conceivably devolve into an outright insurrection.

I do believe The President engages in too much social media expression of his beliefs, and that in this case his silence would have probably been worth more than seeming to 'jump on the bandwagon'.

If nothing else Donald Trump has proven he is not 'the bigger man', but rather a human being that does not respond gently to ill treatment. On that philosophy I applaud him. Conservatives have been the object of much defaming and outright hatred and violence(Steve Scalise, speakers and marchers in Berkeley and Seattle) for many years by elected Dims and groups like Antifa, without notable 'return fire'.
I also believe that period of time is coming rapidly to an end.

I don't like everything The President says and does, but again, he's human and flawed just like every other person. But his intentions are good as are the results he has achieved in his First term.
.........I can't wait to see what his 2nd four years in office will do for the economy and pride of the American people.
