Using recent versions of the Firefox and Chrome browsers in the "Donations to SETI@home" field of my account Page the "Are all your donations anonymous?" field has been set to Yes (iirc it was always set to the default "No" and I dont remember having changed it) and I can't change it anymore to No. For the record, all add-ons or extensions were disactivated, and the pages had been refreshed beforehand. (1) Who here could manually set to NO the "Are my donations anonymous?" field of my account (since I can't do it myself with Chrome or Firefox. ) ? 2) ... and update it to manually reflect my Sept. 1 and Aug. 31 donations ? Payments' details can be provided to this person (Berkeley Online Giving <urweb at berkeley.edu> confirmed having received them both). This person can probably not be reached at gifthelp(AT)berkeley.edu since they probably can't set things up on the setiathome.berkeley.edu side, right? Thanks for any help you can provide. It will be easier to make future donations if this can be resolved (wink wink :) PAR |

Thank you for your disheveling celerity in experimentation & replying -- and for initiating a remediation process, Mr. Kevvy ^^ Thanks Pierre... when I checked in mine, I am getting undefined index errors on the carolyn server so I think someone has been fiddling with the forum code again. :^) I'll pass this on to the admins. |

Just tried, and still unable to set "Are your donations anonymous?" to No. Just so that you know, Mr. Kevvy, I received this message yesterday : Gift Help<gifthelp at berkeley.edu> Mon, Sep 23, 2019 at 12:33 PMIdealy, I'd like this to show up on my https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/user_donation.php page : Date Amount (US) Source** Transaction ID*** Anonymous? 13 Aug 2018, 7:00:00 UTC $xx UC Giving 352113 08/31/2019 $xx UC Giving 481256 09/01/2019 $xx UC Giving 481257 At the moment the last two aren't showing up since Sept. 1st, in spite of having indicated in the special instructions to link these two donations to my SETI@home account (UserID & email). In the meantime, until Matt or someone from the staff can find a fix, I'll raise a glass to the carolyn server and wish to all a happy Tuesday Outage day ^^ You're quite welcome. :^) Well I did not get a reply, but now I am only getting one "carolyn" error in my donations page, and it's different, so it appears something has been done. Perhaps it will work now. |

I am getting just the opposite problem... despite the checkbox set for YES the actual profile page says NO... I don't want my donations publicly spammed and the University donation form refuses to accept that request as well.. so I am back to the same issue I originally complained about. but in this case I think it's a visual glitch and the conditional coding that regulates the change isn't working right. I treat everyone with equal disregard, I make fewer enemies that way! |

For all intents and purposes, my understanding is that only Matt (when he returns from any project he's attached to at the moment) will be able to adress these issues =:/ In the end, all things accounted for, helping Berkeley U pay for the gaz used by their emergency power generators (to keep their main servers up and running at SSL -and SETI@home- and elsewhere on the campus, during the power outages necessary to mitigate the wildfire risks) remains useful. I certainly can survive in spite of these glitches, even though it might not be acceptable for other participants =:/ You've met ACC and CS themselves ? Wow. Of course I shouldn't be surprised being a chtonian entity has its perks ^^ ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am a bit old and cranky.. just old enough to have met them. LOL as for the current donation, despite having chosen the option to make it anonymous from the donation form. when I checked my profile after it posted, I still had to manually set it for anonymous because the donation form wasn't respecting that choice. I treat everyone with equal disregard, I make fewer enemies that way! |
