I reached 1,000,000 units on May 1st 2019, almost 20 years after I ran my first unit in Feb. of 2000!! What an amazing community and project to be part of since the beginning. p.s., I wish SETI sold plaques to folks who have been long time members who have achieved their 1 millionth unit... I would pay for it... could be a cool money raising technique... - Jason Stephens |

It's been a great time. I've done what I could on various computers over the years to help. Maybe with us going back to the moon finally we can look to putting a listening post on the moon or orbiting it. Keep up the good work everyone! |

20 years is nothing compared to an ET's age, I assume. For the world we may seems Nonsense, working on huge technologies expecting something that has no evidence of existence. But one day, I strongly believe that we will be known for our volunteer works. All the best to all the members of the world wide spread SETI family. |

I can't believe it's been 20 yrs! I was never a dedicated cruncher after the 1st couple of years and then mostly used seti to benchmark my new systems out of habit. I love how how this community still fells very much the same as it did in the beginning. I wish more of the internet had kept the same attitude. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to care about keeping my original seti id. I'd love to know when I originally signed up after all this 20 yr nostalgia. I seem to remember when they added the graphics, or am I confusing that with the later Linux command line app that didn't have graphics? |

I had an account that I started in the early 2000s but lost the password to it. Happy Birthday, Seti@home! |

I've been crunching since 2000 myself. We've come a long way in computing data! |

Yes sir, we have come a long way indeed. I just checked some of the old logs on seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu. My classic seti avg wu time was north of 7 hours. My poor old Pentium pro 200 performance must have been better counted in days. |

I joined April 3rd, 1999 and still believe that in my lifetime we'll get a signal. The Universe is so huge and we are just a grain of sand just in our own galaxy....We'll find a signal hopefully before I'm dead. Cheers!! |

Twenty years! Congrats to all for their efforts in this project. It is encouraging to see that there are so many who were present and participating in this project at its' inception are still here crunching away today. Like so many worthwhile endeavors that require a lot of patience and perseverance, it is encouraging to see that this project that has a user group dedicated to the long haul. Let's see where the next twenty years will bring. |

Happy Birthday SETI and ALL the crew! SETI is a double edged sword! Not only is it questing for knowledge of our neighbors, it also is a great way to learn applied technology and keep up with computers, GPU's, and all the rest! Well done Eric! 100% Powered by solar, Sunny regards, |

It was more exciting back in the day, when you could get an anomaly, and get to know that you were the one who did. Get that function back! ^Born under a never sleeping sun^ |
