I feel it is time to start thread number 3 as the other thread has 1049 posts in it.

I managed to pick up 12 tasks today so far it is almost midday where I am.

Except for setting a workgroup for AP tasks only, is there any other way to attract them?

It seems the more you crunch, the more you get. Must have something to do with the APR and BOINC REC credit mechanism. I saw 51 AP tasks on one host alone today. I think that is a record for me. Most of the time I have around 20-30 tasks on each host.

I received 76 AP tasks for the 15th UTC today.

I managed to wrangle up 3 AP tasks for the 16th UTC. The AP feeding frenzy might be dying down.

I've seen multiple Aricebo files split today, but I didn't see any AP WUs in the status. I'm not sure where the APs went. were the files only split in a MP way? did something bad happen and the APs disappeared? It was odd...and continues to be odd.

The three Arecibo files being split just now are "historic", one is shown as AP splitting in progress, the other two are showing "done" - it is possible that those two files already had their APs split and calculated years ago, and since there haven't been any changes in the AP calculation for many years they don't need to be split again.

Maybe I was too negative about the AP feeding frenzy ending. I received 83 AP's for the 17th UTC today.
