Post number 281: Rushing to work so I don't have time to convert that into Roman Numbers. I might do it at some point. But thank you Byron Peace on Earth? I sure hope so. I just got back from a 4 day intensive with Rotary Leadership in preparation for my next year as the local president. The new theme, Rotary Connects the World. and it really does. Rotary may have started in the US but there are more Rotary members around the world than here in the US. From digging well so a child can have clean water in Kenya to mentoring the child of an abusive parent in a small town here at home. Rotary connects hearts with needs. Peace on Earth can only happen with the Earth is connected. Ok too much preaching. here are da: The rules: 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) I have a winning number written down on one of those small bright pink sticky pad on my computer screen. Post and have fun.

281 = CCLXXXI Thanks Chris! Oh and we are almost done with Polio. This year we have only had 6 cases in two countries. The finish is in sight! My Rotary career goes back to about 1997.
