Years ago when I didnt have a GPU in my computer, I used to be able to see to turn GPU use off or on. I even turned it on when I got this computer, years ago. Unfortunately, the GPU on this computer is not going well so I have suspended GPU use on the app on my Win 10 machine 100% of the time. What I want to do, from there, is to tell it, somewhere, never to download GPU work units or use the GPU again but I cant seem to find that one in preferences here or on the app. Can someone help with that please? Thanks, Greg. |

You want to go to the Seti website and look under your Account settings for the Seti@home preferences selection. If you know your type of gpu, then uncheck the manufacture type "Use XXX GPU" Or just untick all of them to be sure. Save your settings and do an Update in the Manager. You should no longer receive any kind of gpu task. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

If you know your type of gpu, then uncheck the manufacture type "Use XXX GPU" Thanks for that info but there is no such option under accounts. I had looked for it before posting but thought I could have missed it so checked again. Not there. Any other ideas? Greg. |

If you know your type of gpu, then uncheck the manufacture type "Use XXX GPU" Click your username in the upper right hand corner of the webpage here. Then click on "SETI@home preferences" or here https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/prefs.php?subset=project Click Edit Preferences, In the next window uncheck the boxes next to ATI/Nvidia/Intel. |
