Is it my setup or is it taking longer to complete GPU tasks? My maximum times used to be under twenty minutes for most non-Astropulse tasks but now some tasks take over one hour for non-Astropulse tasks. I have an AMD FX-8350 CPU with a two Nvidia GPUs- an Nvidia GTX-750TI and an Nvidia GTX-760. Both are running the latest drivers from Nvidia. I have thirty-two gigabytes of memory. Earl F. Parrish |

The times per task always varies on the project as the mix of tasks distributed constantly varies. Recently the mix has changed considerably from normal because the project resurrected work from a decade ago with very different characteristics from what you are used to seeing. They take longer to process but reward greater too. Your RAC should be increasing more than normal over the past two weeks. My RAC used to hover over 15,000 but I cannot break 14,000 since the New Year's maintenance break. Earl F. Parrish |

Of course, with CreditScrew in operation, no one ever knows for certain what to expect. I have very different results to you with my RAC on all my hosts climbing dramatically from the norm over the past couple of weeks simply because of all the old Arecibo datasets we have been getting which reward about twice the credit as the BLC WU's that are normal. Also RAC does not rise or fall instantaneously. It is a slow moving average that takes about 6 weeks to stabilize. This is what the statistics tab for the Seti project shows for one of my hosts. Notice the upward slope beginning about a month ago. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours ![]() ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |
