Wishing all those having a quiet Christmas on their own, or suffering Xmas blues, warm greetings throughout this period.

I'm having an all in one veggie dinner of 'bubble and squeak'.. Saves all that washing up :)

Might message a couple of people and of course pop in here to see what you are all up to.

For entertainment I will be watching seasonal horror :o}

That's about it really.

Christmas can feel disenfranchising at times.

What you doing this time of year?

Well Xmas Day here has already seen my 1st group of visitors here and I hadn't even opened the shed even opened the shed up. :-O

They stayed for 90mins or so, but they'll be back in a couple of hours, so I'm now hoping to get the shed opened up, the car out, set up the table chairs and crank the jukebox up.

The BBQ is ready to go at a moments notice and there's plenty of food in the fridge while the beer fridge is also fully stocked.

Anyhow I've got about 90mins to get ready so I better finish this coffee and get into it.

Merry Xmas and cheers.

Every Christmas and major holiday of my life has been spent here in this house, and Christmas officially is here in Louisville in about ten minutes. Quiet one as usual for me. After my dad died in 1982, it became just my mother and me and stayed that way until her death last year here at home. I miss my mother intensely, and honestly I've never gotten over my father's death, 37 years ago, but I'm not lonely, just truly alone, now. A retired police officer friend brought over some deviled eggs and Derby pie for me, earlier this evening, and I'll cook a small turkey tomorrow, along with asparagus and have my favorite jellied cranberry sauce, too. I always make Hot Browns with the leftover turkey, just like Thanksgiving. I believe my parents' spirits are always with me, but they're not big eaters. ;~)

I'm curious what seasonal horror movies you'll be watching, cRunchy.

Going to have a quiet Christmas here where I've spent far too many holidays, but not all.

@Gordon, got handed a pen that belongs much closer to you today, from Bullwinkle's Family Restaurant in Seymour IN. The world is a small place.

Merry Christmas and to all a Good Night.

Seymour's not too far up the road, for sure, but I'm not familiar with that place. Sounds cozy.

Even though I'm the only one who will see it, now, I still decorate, and spent about 4 hours stringing lights and hanging ornaments on my synthetic tree, here in the alcove of the living room.

Next time I need to leave at 8am so that I can get to My nephews mountain hideout in less than 2 hours for Xmas and to enjoy the time there, of course getting a sore throat prior to there and a cold afterwards didn't help any, hopefully no one caught anything from Me then. Lesson learned keep My jacket on in there, a barn would be warmer.
