Actually when I was a kid I won 6 bottles of Coca Cola in a lottery when spending some summertime on a beach here.
Since then I doesn't like Coca Cola anymore:)

My favourite non-alco beverage would have to be coffee.

Other than that I find that all soft drinks (sodas to some) to be far too sweet for my liking, but I will have half strength cordial (squash to some) either on it's own or as a mixer for my spirits. ;-)

Cheers.

Ha, ha, yes, I know you've expressed your dislike of craft beers that tend to veer toward a sweeter flavor. ;~)

What can I say Gordon?

I'm a sweet person to start with so I don't need any added sugar to make me more so. :-D

Cheers.

I did not know that piece of Swedish history.
Not only that.
In 1767, Englishman Joseph Priestley first discovered a method of infusing water with carbon dioxide to make carbonated water.
Then soon after that Swedish chemist Jöns Jacob Berzelius came up with an idea.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%B6ns_Jacob_Berzelius
Berzelius is considered, along with Robert Boyle, John Dalton, and Antoine Lavoisier, to be one of the founders of modern chemistry.
He experimented extensively with beverage compositions, and began to mix carbonated water with various spice extracts, juices and wine.
The various flavored drinks he made created the conditions for the modern soft drink - which is thus a Swedish invention.
Basic Science can often give some surprising spin-off effects:)

THAT is the one juice that A.) I CANNOT take due to medicine conflicts, and B.) have NEVER liked anyway... Too sour.

But, more power to you. 😀

Yes, I've heard that about grapefruit juice being a problem with certain medications. And yes, it can be tart and sour, but I do like it. I tend to drink it in the morning, and orange the rest of the day. I always buy the frozen concentrate and mix with water. ~That's the cheapest and it's always tasted really good to me, and I can control how powerful or weak I make it depending on how much water I add to the pitcher.

I just can't stand grapefruit juice, I can tolerate some orange juice, but I generally don't drink either.

Do you eat either one?

Actually in Scandinavia it's very good. And many other countries as well.
No need to go to a store buying bottled water.
Still many does that. Weird...

I've never bought bottled water. Big waste of money. The tap water here in Louisville is perfect to drink and is delicious.

The well water here is fortified with Calcium Carbonate, it's ok, it tastes better when cold, though I don't like a lot of COLD stuff, ice cream for some weird reason does not make Me cough, go figure.
Here in Stockholm we have well called Vårby Källa. Sometimes it drains and what to do.
Fortify it with tap water of course. Hehe:)

I was given a half gallon of both grapefruit and orange juice by a friend yesterday. I like both.

In the American Idiom I like New York style Lime Rickeys and Chocolate Egg Cremes. I made these often when I worked a college summer in New York at a French tea room run by Greeks. We had Loft and Barricini candies and also Lewis Sherry Ice Cream and Manhattan Coffee--The best in the world by my taste buds. We made our own syrups and waffle batter. The favorite ice cream soda was pineapple with chocolate ice cream.

I've never had an egg creme. I've heard of those, but never had one. There's an old-fashioned soda parlor near me, and I'm sure they could make me one.

I always buy the frozen concentrate. It allows me to control the intensity of the mix with the amount of water I add, and I really like the result.
