DJStarfox, nice achievement ! And congratulations to all, either for reaching credit milestones or for becoming a member of the 19 Year Club, both being sure marks of steadfastness and resilience ^.^ I've been here too long, but I finally hit my 1M credits with SETI this week. :) Apr 3, 1999 - May 3, 2020 |

Hello from a dumb old recently retired guy in Oklahoma, I'm at 19 years, 2 months, 27 days. It amazes me to think of all the computers/laptops I've run this on over the years. I still remember signing up for the first time. |

Considering your perseverance, optimism, curiosity and inquisitive mind (otherwise you wouldn't be here 19 years later), I have difficulties buying that ^.^ Congrats ! I keep running S@h on an old one-core win2k clunker (hackers don't appear to know how to tackle It) on which my 18yo cat used to sleep through cold seasons. It might yet be one of the computers through which the next Wow signal will be detected, who knows ? ^.^ Hello from a dumb old recently retired guy Apr 3, 1999 - May 3, 2020 |

19 years - has it really been that long? Or is it that this olde man is finally showing his age (74 in a couple of months)? I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

I just found this thread... It never occurred to me that Ive been running Seti@Home for almost 2 decades now! I got the bug while doing work at The Planetary Society in Pasadena (fond memories). I remember buying one of the embroidered polo shirts back at the beginning (wish I still had it... even though it wouldnt fit any more). |

Didn't even realise it was so long, myself - since April 3, '99! I've come a long way since my Pentium II 233. :) |

19 years ago I saw an article about SETI on Art Bell's (RIP) web site. Downloaded it and starting crunching. Still going strong (but not with anywhere near the daily average). Next year - 20 years. Good grief. |

On 1999/05/17, SETI@home was publicly/officially lauched. But of course, it was already up and running on March 1st, 1999 - if not before -, hence this new thread : Welcome to the 20 Year Club! https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=83966 For all concerned, see ya - soon, too soon - there :) Welcome to the 19 Year Club! |
