From NASA Chandra: “Abell 1033: To Boldly Go into Colliding Galaxy Clusters”
A new composite image of the galaxy cluster Abell 1033 bears a striking resemblance to the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek.

X-rays from Chandra (purple), radio emission from LOFAR (blue), and SDSS optical data were combined in this image.

Abell 1033 is a merger of two galaxy clusters, the largest structures in the Universe held together by gravity.

Pareidolia is the phenomenon where people see familiar shapes and patterns in otherwise random data.

Hidden in a distant galaxy cluster collision are wisps of gas resembling the starship Enterprise — an iconic spaceship from the “Star Trek” franchise.

Two cargo ships, the Northrop Grumman Cygnus, launched by an Antares rocket, and the Russian Progress 71 have docked to the International Space Station. Traffic is increasing. On December 3 a Soyuz rocket should bring new cosmonauts and astronauts to the ISS.

Twenty years ago, on November 20 1998 a Proton Russian Rocket put in orbit the Zarya module, which was the start of the iSS. A following Shuttle carried another module which was joined to the Zarya by its astronauts. The Zarya module is visible with its partly folded solar panels in recent images of the ISS.

WATCH THE MARS LANDING TODAY: Get ready for another 7 minutes of terror. Today, a NASA robot named "InSight" will attempt to land on Mars--a process that involves screaming through the red planet's atmosphere in a fireball, shedding more than 12,000 mph of velocity. For the first time, two interplanetary cubesats ("WALL-E" and "Eva") will help NASA broadcast the landing. Tune into NASA TVstarting at 2 p.m. EST for full coverage.

From NASA News, both Green Bank and Effelsberg, the top two steerable radio telescopes will monitor InSight's descent.

Also the 64 meters Sardinia telescope will follow it, according to Piero Benvenuti, the new President of the Italian Space Agency.

Yep, I just watched it on NASA tv. The lander sent back a picture, already! It's camera still has it's dust protector on, and you can see particles on it, and the Martian surface and horizon, and the sky.

Looks like with this landing, the descent mechanisms are pretty solid since this is the second time they've used the heatshield, supersonic parachute and landing thruster design successfully. They ought to stick with the design for future missions. So far 100% success rate.

I think they said they have to wait a few hours for the solar panels to unfurl, but it looks like a clear day to do it. :~)

And here comes the sun!

The Instrument Deployment Camera (IDC), located on the robotic arm of NASA's InSight lander, took this picture of the Martian surface on Nov. 26, 2018, the same day the spacecraft touched down on the Red Planet. The camera's transparent dust cover is still on in this image, to prevent particulates kicked up during landing from settling on the camera's lens. This image was relayed from InSight to Earth via NASA's Odyssey spacecraft, currently orbiting Mars.Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech

I watched the TV coverage live. Another great job by the team at JPL.

But why use Kapton only on the joints?
And it seems like they missed a joint on the upper part of the object, whatever it is.
