Anyway now the Democrats, in the US House of Representatives, have called on US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to force him to testify and hand over documents relating to his and the government's contacts with the Government of Ukraine.
Another five people at the Foreign Ministry, including former US ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and US EU ambassador Gordon Sondland, have been called to the committees.
According to the Politico website, Mike Pompeo will be suspected of "defiance" if he does not hand over the documents.

But apart from that please don't impeach Trump. Then Mike Pence will your next president. Horror...

Timing of the impeachment conviction is key. Somewhere just before the election would be good. Too short for Pence to do squat and he couldn't run for a full term by then. At this point. No one knows if the Democrats (lower approval rating than Trump in their House of Representatives) or Trump himself will be held in greater disgust in 2020.

IMHO: Both are vying for that honor.

BTW: If the Democrat's succeed in our Senate or Disgusting Donald resigns. A 9 year* Presidency of a Conservative Christian, Vice President Mike Pence, is a possibility.

*A Presidential Term must be at least 2 years. So, completing only 1+ years of Trump's Term, not 2 complete years. Allows, now President Pence, to run for 2 complete Terms.

I think that is why Pelosi did want to start impeachment so soon.
